What can you do to influence things – right from the future leadership of our country to creating a fairer society for all? How can one person make a difference?

These questions and more have been tackled by Alastair Campbell in his latest book But What Can I Do? and Alastair has been taking this discussion out on the road via a tour of schools, colleges and universities across the UK. At these events, Alastair has been talking to young people about how the power lies within them to create a brighter future for themselves and to transform the future outlook for the country.

Alastair’s tour is hitting Orbit in January when he’ll be taking part in a virtual event for customers. The aim of this exclusive session is to provide attendees with the motivation and tools they may need to effect change.

Whether you’re part of our next generation of leaders and influencers or you’re a parent who wants to encourage and empower the young people in their life, Alastair will explain that if you’re dissatisfied with the status quo you can help fix it.

Join us on Teams on Thursday 18 January from 5-6pm for an informal session when you’ll have the opportunity to ask Alastair Campbell any questions you have in relation to the themes of his book and this event.

About Alastair Campbell

Alastair Campbell has written 17 books in the past 14 years, including 10 volumes of diaries, four novels, a number one best-selling analysis of what it takes to win in politics, business and sport, Winners and How They Succeed, and two personal memoirs on depression and the pursuit of happiness.

His latest book, But What Can I Do? is part call to arms, part practical handbook for anyone who feels let down by politics as it is today and wants to help change things for the better.

Alastair has become increasingly involved with mental health charities and causes, speaking about his own experience of depression, psychosis and addiction, and of his brother Donald’s lifelong struggle with schizophrenia.

He lives mainly in London, with his partner of forty-two years, journalist and education campaigner Fiona Millar. His main interests outside work are cycling, open water swimming, running, bagpipes and following Burnley FC.
